In The Spirit of Redemption

The Christmas season is here. This season, everyone evokes a variety of emotions. For some, it's a celebration and a great opportunity to rest and reunite with the family. For others, it is a spiritual struggle that makes them a reality with the connections and lack of connections in their lives. For others, it means the end, the end of the year, the end of the relationship, the end of the era, as they knew it.

This season brings hope, a spirit of redemption, and a sign of a beginning. Redemption so that we can close all the chapters of life we have chosen and give ourselves the opportunity to start over. The spirit of redemption is knowing that there is a great opportunity to apply for a job, regain health, grow further, write a poem, and give us another opportunity to book a trip.

"It's a redemptive spirit to realise that even if you tried and failed, it's not the end of the world. You have a chance to make amends."

It's a redemptive spirit to realise that even if you tried and failed, it's not the end of the world. You have a chance to make amends. In the spirit of the season, I pray and hope that you will be nicer to yourself, remembering that no matter how difficult things have been or are, you gave it your all, even if it didn't look like it. You have a chance to redeem yourself and not spend the rest of your life in sorrow.

The Christians will be celebrating the birth of their Messiah and I wonder what in your life would you be celebrating?

I Celebrate You

Did you find the courage to get up in the morning even when it felt so hard and took everything inside you? I celebrate you.

Did you set yourself an audacious goal and give everything you have to achieve it? I celebrate you.

Did you choose to love even when you have been hurt so many times? I celebrate you.

Did you choose to forgive yourself even when it was easy to stay in judgement? I celebrate you.

A Moment for Reflection

Spirituality and religiosity are deep subjects that are intertwined with our identities. This is not a discussion about religion, but a properly depicted Christ is a symbol of unconditional love, forgiveness, and redemption. I'm curious about a time in your life when you simply need to love yourself wholeheartedly and without judgement.

Forgive yourself for the areas where you don't think you're good enough. Make the decision to stand up for yourself and to cherish the pieces of yourself that you'd rather hide. Redeem yourself by standing in your power.
